New Encyclical “Dilexit nos” Highlights Sacred Heart Devotion

On October 24, 2024, Pope Francis’ fourth Encylical “Dilexit nos,” was released. It retraces the tradition and relevance of thought on “the human and divine love of the Heart of Jesus Christ,” calling for a renewal of authentic devotion to avoid forgetting the tenderness of faith, the joy of serving, and the fervour of mission.

Throughout his life, Blessed Karl had a deep devotion to the Sacred Heart, enshrining the image in his home and carrying the image with him everywhere he went. It was even placed under his pillow and before his eyes during his final illness. Because of the importance of this Encyclical and the relevance of Sacred Heart devotion in Blessed Karl’s life, we are happy to share Pope Francis’ new Encyclical below.
